How are Viva products composted?

Our packaging is home compostable, which means it breaks down in your own compost or garden—not just in industrial facilities. We use chlorine-free, FSC-certified paper and natural adhesives, printed with soy-based inks. When you're done with the packaging, you can toss it in your home compost, bury it in your garden, or fill it with soil and seeds to start something new. It's literally designed to return to the earth.

How long does it take for Viva packaging to compost?

In a home compost with the right conditions (moisture, aeration, temperature), packaging typically breaks down within 3-6 months. If you bury it in soil or toss it in your garden, it'll break down a bit slower but still returns to the earth. Cold or dry climates take longer, but it will get there. The timeline depends on your climate and composting method, but the key point is: it will break down. Unlike plastic bottles that stick around for 400+ years.

What is the brand's philosophy on packaging and waste?

There is no sugarcoating it - we f***ing hate plastic. Every Viva La Body product and shipping box is designed to be home-compostable, so when you're done, it goes safely back to the earth. Sure, you could chuck it in the yellow bin, but why not go full enviro-beast? Toss it in your composter, drop it in a hole, or fill it with soil and seeds and watch it become something new. Your trash = nature's magic.

What is the brand's environmental / conservation commitment?

Every product is crafted to be planet-kind: plastic-free, toxin-free, and designed to be home-compostable, meaning it is good for you today and tomorrow. Our warehouse runs zero-waste by eliminating plastic from all parts of our logistics and recycling our paper products. We carefully source certified ingredients to minimise environmental impact.

But we are never satisfied... our next goals are to offset our shipping emissions and give back to community. We look forward to sharing our progress via socials and emails as we grow.
