They never looked back.
Hundreds of soap blends, thousands of bars, and years of obsessive tinkering later, they’d mastered hair, body, and fragrance like aura farming alchemists. All natural ingredients, old-school perfume techniques, handcrafting magic, it was a full-on obsession, and they leaned right into it. 🌱 Vegan 🌱 Cruelty-Free 🌱 Palm Oil-Free 🌱

By 2019, Jo and Micko were thinking bigger: “Plastic? F**k that.” They ditched the plastic bottles, tubs, and tubes - pivoting to completely plastic-free products. Compostable packaging, soy-based inks, chlorine-free paper—the works. Doing the right thing isn’t easy, but damn it felt good.
The Solid Revolution
In 2021, Viva La Body chose the red pill and developed a solid, water-activated range that eliminated the need for bottles, tubes, jars and pump-dispensers altogether. Going Plastic-free became a full-on mission: every bar, stick, and balm a tiny rebellion against household waste. Customers loved it, the planet loved it, and Viva was officially stepping into the spotlight - and loving it.

After 25+ years of making, packing, shipping, and obsessing over every bar, Jo and Micko were ready for a break.
Enter Ellie and Murray from Go For Zero: toxin-free, zero-waste pioneers and one of Viva’s biggest resellers (and even bigger fans).
They moved production from Darwin to South East Queensland (Viva now has two manufacturing partners on the Gold Coast and in Stanthorpe), started redesigning the range, and starting sprinting towards taking Viva's bold, planet-loving ethos to the next level.
Ellie, Murray and their team have huge plans for Viva, but they remain committed to keeping Viva La Body’s values intact:
